I bought these little lamps summer 2008 at a garage sale. I was told they were from the 30's or 40's and had been kept at the families lakeside cottage. I know absolutely nothing about oil or kerosene lamps and wondered what you could tell me.
This is what I can tell you:
They measure 12" tall to the top of the white shade. The white shade is clear glass that appears to be coated with a layer of white glass on the inside. The tope and bottom openings are both 2 1/2 ". It measures 8" across at its' widest and is 5 1/2" tall.
The yellow base measures 6" across at its' base and is 5" tall. It is white glass on the inside with a layer of yellow glass on the outside. It has Kosmos stamped on the little wheel (wick adjuster ?) of the burner.
There is a hair line crack in one of the white shades and I would love to find a replacement if possible.

I have a wall bracet kerosene lamp holder. It holds two lamps. The diameters of the metal holders/bottoms are approx. 5" and 6". These holders each have three raised llines/notches on their surface--it appears that the bottom of the glass lantern would need to have indentations to fit these raised areas. I need both glass kerosene lamps for this holder. Any ideas? Thanks!
